If you were looking to find positives from the Bombers season-opening 42-15 loss to the Roughriders on Saturday, you'd need a guide dog, a private investigator, Google and a map.
Believe it or not, however, there were some.
Keith Stokes had a 69-yard punt return touchdown that moved him into third place on the CFL's all-time list with nine. Bombers head coach Jim Daley called Stokes "a warrior on special teams."
In addition, former University of Manitoba Bisons defensive back Boyd Barrett was "a force" on special teams, according to Daley.
"We gotta find more Boyd Barretts," Daley said. "He was outstanding."
LB Lamar McGriggs had two tackles for a loss and finished with seven takedowns overall. Wes Lysack, Sean Woodson, Cedric Dickerson and Ryland Wickman also had seven tackles each.
LATE HITS: QB Kevin Glenn (ankle) and DB Cedric Dickerson (hand) were hurt Saturday, but both finished the contest, so the injuries don't appear to be serious.
