"I would probably have had to go and get one of them real jobs."

- New OL Ryan Bachman, who had been contemplating his future in football when the Blue Bombers called

STAR OF THE DAY

"The thing about Milt is that they say time cures all ills. Well, he's had so much time and is so old that he is now a master of his game. He's really had a great camp. What is he, 43 or something? He is playing with such athleticism and intelligence that he looks very smooth. He looks like he has fresh legs out there."

- Bomber head coach Jim Daley on SB Milt Stegall, who is actually 35

STAR OF THE DAY

CB Stanford Samuels caught Daley's eye as he adjusts to a new position (defensive back) in a new league (CFL) while FB Scott Regimbald had yet another great day. Honourable mentions to WR Vinnie Sutherland, WR Elgin Hicks and QB Kevin Glenn.

CATCH OF THE DAY

Stegall leapt high between DBs Cedric Dickerson and Shawn Gallant to haul in a pass from QB Russ Michna. That edged out SB Wane McGarity catching an underthrown pass in the endzone while lying on his back.

PICK OF THE DAY

S Wes Lysack snagged one pass and tore off down field where SB Jamie Stoddard grabbed him. Lysack then threw the ball at Stoddard's head.
