TORONTO (CP) -- Charles Roberts captured his second straight CFL offensive player of the week award after he led the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a 44-34 win over the Toronto Argonauts on the weekend.
The running back rushed for 154 yards on 30 carries and scored three touchdowns in the victory. He also had four pass receptions for 45 yards. Roberts won the award last week after rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-24 win over Saskatchewan.
Casey Printers of the B.C. Lions and Kenton Keith of the Saskatchewan Roughriders were also nominated this week.
Argos safety Orlondo Steinauer earned the defensive award after recording nine tackles. He also sacked the punter for a loss of 19 yards and had one interception which he returned 49 yards for a touchdown.
Winnipeg's Eric Carter and Saskatchewan's Eddie Davis were the runners-up for the honour.
Ottawa Renegades defensive tackle John Turtine was named lineman of the week. He had five individual tackles, one sack and knocked down a pass in Ottawa's 26-24 win over Calgary.
Tyrone Williams of the B.C. Lions and Rashad Jeanty of the Edmonton Eskimos were also considered for the award.
The special teams player of the week is Winnipeg receiver Keith Stokes, who had six punt returns for 46 yards and four kickoff returns for 172 yards, including one for a touchdown.
Paul McCallum of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Aaron Lockett of the B.C. Lions were runners-up.
