Just when it appeared two of Toronto’s go-to targets were poised to get the green light, a cautionary yellow has been attached to Andre Durie, while the can’t-go red has been affixed to Chad Owens.

It’s not exactly the best of developments for a team that was contemplating a best-case scenario a day earlier when Durie was optimistic of a return, while Owens notified the head coach that he was eyeing a quick comeback.

Say what you want about this Argos team, but no excuse has ever been offered and no inconvenience — and there have been many — raised publicly with so many issues out of their control. Scott Milanovich just goes about his business, even when the business of football seems to be spiralling out of control.
