Embarrassed by the 41-27 loss on Saturday to the Eskimos -- a team led by his former defensive co-ordinator Chris Jones -- Argos head coach Scott Milanovich was going to wait until he'd cooled down before trying to figure out what's next for his 3-6 club. (Reuters)

In the heat of the moment, the last thing Scott Milanovich wanted to do was say something he would later regret.

Following yet another bitter loss, this time at the hands of the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday night at Commonwealth Stadium, the Argonauts head coach didn’t believe it was appropriate to shed any light on a situation that clearly needs to be addressed.

Once emotions begin to settle down and once he clears his head, Milanovich has shown he’s more than willing to comment on the many issues that continue to plague the Argos, a team that hits the CFL’s halfway mark with a 3-6 record, its next game not until Labour Day against Hamilton.

One looks back at the Argos’ first nine games and certain themes become obvious, whether it’s discipline, ball security, protection or applying pressure.
