TORONTO - There may be less hype this time around, but Ricky Ray’s second starting assignment back in Edmonton as the enemy still offers potential intrigue.

Rather than the return-of-a-star feel that accompanied his initial visit in Double Blue in the 2012 season opener, Ray’s Commonwealth Stadium appearance Saturday will feature the Argonauts quarterback going against the ex-Boatmen defensive co-ordinator he schemed against in practice the previous two seasons — first-year Eskimos head coach Chris Jones.

Injured for the Argos’ game in Edmonton last year (won by Zach Collaros), Ray is looking forward to the challenge of battling Jones and his surging Eskimos, who are tied for the league lead at 6-1.

“(Jones) is one of the best in the league,” said Ray, who received a standing ovation while a video tribute was aired in Edmonton during his first game back — a 19-15 Toronto loss on June 30, 2012.
