TORONTO - After five games the Toronto Argonauts have returned to the dressing room with smiles just once.

They have lost to an expansion team.

In the past three games they have one touchdown — and eight turnovers. Even if the offence had managed a couple touchdowns, the defence has had more holes than a chain-link fence, surrendering 89 points.

Messy.

And, that’s being polite.

So, head coach Scott Milanovich brought some of his veterans together after Saturday’s 37-9 butt-kicking for a summit session.

And, they’re unanimous. It’s everybody’s fault.

Milanovich said he hasn’t prepared the team well enough.

Centre Jeff Keeping says the offensive line needs to improve.

Quarterback Ricky Ray says he can’t afford to turn over the ball, and Shea Emry, while acknowledging the defence is new and young, knows it must find a way to step up its game.
