The up-and-down Argos were decidedly down Saturday night.

And out for the count.

Speaking of counts, the announced crowd was 16,102, down from the roughly 17,000-plus that showed up for last week’s home opener.

Another perfect evening for football, another disappointing audience, which would leave disappointed following Toronto’s 34-15 lacklustre loss to the Stamps.

This Calgary team is good, quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell awfully good, especially when no pressure is applied, when no big plays on defence are made.

The way Rich Stubler was having his Stamps defence attack the Argos, nothing down the field was possible, unless a breakdown in coverage played out.

Stubler is the master of yielding field goals, which is precisely what would unfold.

Three weeks into the season and the Argos have now shown this pattern of playing poorly, well and then reverting to their inept ways.
