TORONTO - Antwaun Molden came up golden in his Argos debut, producing football’s equivalent of a hat trick for a defensive back asked to do more than just drop into coverage.

Two picks, including one Molden returned for a touchdown, and Toronto’s first win of the season, feats he will cherish.

“A career first," said Molden of his two interceptions. “I work hard and these kinds of games don’t come often. When you do, you must seize the moment. It’s fun, especially being with my teammates.

“I love playing with these guys, I love the camaraderie, the rapport. It helps you along, it encourages you. I like the direction and mindset as a whole with this team.”

During Toronto’s week of practice leading up to Saturday’s 48-15 rout of the defending Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders, Molden was tutored by many on defence, including second-year Argo Jamie Robinson.
