Somewhere between last week’s embarrassment and Saturday’s sublime effort is where this edition of the Argos will ultimately find themselves.

From bad to dominant, the Argos are too new on defence and somewhat one-dimensional on offence to offer any definitive characterization.

But in football, a win is a win and there’s no point in looking too deep when a blowout of the defending champion plays out on a sun-baked day.

First-year linebacker Antwaun Molden, playing in his first game, had two interceptions, including a pick six that covered 109 yards late in the fourth quarter as the Argos routed the Saskatchewan Roughriders 48-15.

Molden’s touchdown return was the second-longest in Argos history, regular season that is, as Eric Harris holds the mark for his 115-yarder back in 1977 against Montreal.
