There’s continuity on offence, curiosity on defence and consistency on special teams when it comes to the Argos’ kicking game.

Welcome to the beginning of the 2014 CFL season, which officially kicks off in The ’Peg Thursday night against the retooled Blue Bombers, a team whom many are expecting to be better than last year’s three-win edition, which really isn’t saying much.

The Argonauts have basically owned the Blue Bombers in their state-of-the-art home stadium, be it in the pre-season or regular season, site of Ricky Ray’s near-perfect game in 2013, the same game in which Toronto’s efficient passer re-injured his left knee.

Ultimately, this Argos team will be measured in the post-season, which didn’t exactly end well last fall in the East final against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

For now, the offence must take the lead as the many new faces on defence learn how to play as a group with what should be an all-American front four.
