TORONTO - They cleared the air, tried to clear up any misconceptions and tackled the mixed messages that swirled during this rather messy labour process.

Nothing is ever taken for granted, but CFLPA executive member and Argos veteran offensive lineman Jeff Keeping can rest easy in knowing he did all he could in helping address any lingering issues.

Keeping is the kind of guy who will one day serve as president of a football club, given his ability to take on any concern head-on, express his thoughts in a manner that is clear and direct, no ego, no agenda.

“We had a great team meeting,’’ said Keeping of a team gathering the Argos had on Wednesday. “I feel our guys are well-informed. They’ve seen all the facts, had an opportunity to look at the deal in its entirety and they’ll be able to make their own decision.”
