TORONTO - Shane Horton is one of those jocks off all trades, the metaphorical swiss army knife who can basically line up anywhere on the field on either side of the ball and not skip a beat.

He’s that versatile, that athletic, that adept at adjusting to whatever gets thrown at him, even when there’s precious little time to refine his role.

On the eve of last year’s season opener, then Argos defensive co-ordinator Chris Jones turned to Horton when Jones needed a rush end.

“All right, you got two days to learn it,’’ said Horton of the words Jones would utter when he approached Toronto’s rookie.
