REGINA - Scott Milanovich didn’t spend a lot of time with Tony Dungy, but the impression the one-time NFL head coach left continues to be felt by Toronto’s second-year field general.

When the Argos arrived in the heart of Rider Nation, leadership became the hot-button item among the team’s faithful amid aggravated assault chargers to three players, including two starters who were expected to suit up for Saturday night’s kickoff against the Argos.

Whether it was management’s position or how the team’s coaching structure dealt with the off-field issues, the community was divided.

There’s a lot to like in how Milanovich conducts himself, how he manages a team, how he draws up an offensive game plan, but his biggest strength is his leadership qualities.

The season was barely a few weeks old when Milanovich decided to release linebacker Brandon Isaac, whom teammates elected as defensive captain.
