TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts are one of the best teams in the CFL in terms of not giving up fumbles. But they have fumbled the ball big-time when it comes to keeping the team in the news.

One of the Argonauts’ priorities each season is to sell tickets, and one way of doing that is by promoting its stars — Chad Owens, Chad Kackert, Ricky Ray, etc. Up until this week, the Argos have done a pretty good job of doing that, even if season tickets were down from last year’s magical season when they won the Grey Cup at home. But now, the 5-3 Boatman have dropped the ball in terms of keeping that momentum going.

When star quarterback Ray — who is playing some of the best football of his career — went down with an apparent shoulder injury in the 35-14 loss to the Calgary Stampeders at the Rogers Centre on Friday, head coach Scott Milanovich said after the game that he didn’t have a lot of information on the severity of the injury.
