TORONTO - Andre Durie was in the huddle late in the game with the outcome no longer in doubt when the Argos would turn to Zach Collaros.

There are signs to indicate how prepared, poised and focused a player is under such circumstances, especially when the player lines up at quarterback.

“He organized us well,’’ began Durie of that moment in Week 3 when Collaros made his season debut against the visiting Saskatchewan Roughriders. “He got the plays out quickly and he executed.

“That’s what you look for, especially from a guy who doesn’t get many reps.”

It is possible Ricky Ray will start against the B.C. Lions next Tuesday, his status to be made official Sunday, but Collaros has taken every first-team rep this week and he’s clearly embraced the moment and the opportunity that awaits.
