Brandon Isaac quickly has found a new Canadian Football League home.

A day after the Argonauts released the linebacker, who also was their defensive captain, Isaac signed with the rival Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Isaac is reunited with Ticats defensive co-ordinator Orlondo Steinauer, who had spent the previous three seasons in various coaching roles with the Argos.

The Isaac signing comes a day after the Ticats cut linebacker Markeith Knowlton.

Isaac, a key member of the Argos’ Grey Cup squad in 2012, had 16 tackles and one quarterback sack with the Argos this season. Argos head coach Scott Milanovich skirted around the reasons for Isaac’s release when he was asked about it on Tuesday.

The Ticats also signed defensive back Emanuel Davis, who had been cut after attending training camp with the team in June.

Receiver Ouslet Volcy was cut by the Ticats on Wednesday.
