Monday would amount to what is basically Day 1 of the Argos’ work week, the first day of on-field preparations for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

For what it’s worth, the Argos offence, which was an absolute disaster in Vancouver last week, seemed to have forgotten its rather regrettable outing against the Lions.

A lot, naturally, will be gleaned when the Argos play host to Rider Nation this Thursday, a team that has beaten Edmonton and Calgary in successive weeks.

In Argoland, the offence and defence take turns in dominating the day when individual work is put aside to focus on team scrimmages.

On Monday, it was the offence’s turn to shine amid the hot and humid conditions.

“The tempo was good, the attitude was good,’’ said head coach Scott Milanovich. “I though the offence was good for a Day 1 practice. If you were to ask Chris, he may not be as pleased.”
