Ricky Ray liked what he saw from his offence a week ago.
Now he wants to see that a lot more often.
The Argos offence opened the season like it ended it — making big plays, not turning the football over and protecting their quarterback.
But unlike a year ago, Ray is hoping to sustain that kind of success over the course of a full season.
It’s where he sees the defending Grey Cup champs taking their offence to the next level.
“I think it’s really just having consistency,” Ray said Tuesday. “That’s all you want with anything. Be able to come out week in and week out and play the way we did last week — not turning the football over, not giving up sacks, not having a lot of negative plays and then from there scoring some points.
