TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts might not be thrilled about Chad Owens participating in an MMA bout.

But there isn’t anything they can do to prevent the CFL’s most outstanding player from moonlighting.

“Obviously there is concern but CFL contracts don’t preclude players from participating in extreme sports,” said team spokesperson, Eric Holmes Tuesday.

Owens told Hawaii News Now that he will face Junya Tevaga in an amateur fight April 6 on an MMA card in Hawaii.
