TORONTO - The Toronto Argonauts re-signed a pair of Canadians -- running back Jeff Johnson and cornerback Matt Black -- Friday.
Both could have opted for free agency in February.
Johnson, a 12-year veteran who spent the past 10 seasons with the Argos, signed a two-year extension while Black got a three year deal.
Johnson carried 11 times for 23 yards and caught 12 passes for 82 yards last season; he also made five special teams tackles.
Black, coming off his third season in the CFL, led the Double Blue with 15 special teams tackles and made the country take notice when he scored his first career touchdown on an 81-yard punt return on July 29 in Edmonton.
