Argos promote coaches within
By MIKE GANTER, QMI Agency

TORONTO - Step No. 2 in rounding out new Argos head coach Scott Milanovich’s coaching staff was a short one.

In fact, all it took was a step down the hall.

Milanovich, who went west and east to bring in defensive coordinator Chris Jones and offensive coordinator Jonathan Himebauch respectively, filled in two more vital spots on his staff by bringing back Orlondo Steinauer to coach the defensive backs and Steve McAdoo to coach the offensive line.

Steinauer began 2011 as the coach of Jim Barker’s secondary but was promoted to defensive coordinator in mid-season when Chip Garber was let go.

McAdoo spent four years with the Alouettes in Montreal coaching the offensive line and running backs before returning to his hometown in Nashville, Tennessee, to take up a position with a non-profit organization.

Barker brought him back to the CFL in 2010.

Next up for Milanovich is a special teams coach and that decision is waiting on Mike O’Shea, who has filled that role so admirably the past two seasons that he is now among the candidates for head coaching jobs in both Saskatchewan and Hamilton.

What do you think of the name 'RedBlacks' for the new Ottawa CFL franchise?
  It's awful
  Guess it works
Meh, I don't follow the CFL
  Best name yet
