TORONTO - Jeremaine Copeland’s short-lived tenure on special teams appears to be on hold. Copeland, who held for kicker Noel Prefontaine in a victory against the Saskatchewan Roughriders two weeks ago, has given way to Grant Shaw. “Holders usually get a lot of work on the sideline, and Grant has been over there working and trying to get better,” Copeland said. “Pre wants to try him out to see how it goes.” The spot became open a few weeks ago when linebacker Kevin Eiben, the Argos’ longtime holder, suffered a season-ending pectoral muscle injury. With Copeland holding against the ’Riders, Prefontaine was successful on all three of his field-goal attempts, including a season-long 47-yarder. “Whether it is Grant or Cope, Pre will make that call,” Argos head coach Jim Barker said. “It does not matter to me. (Shaw) just has more time to practise it than Cope does.”
