TORONTO - Gerald Riggs’ hopes of sticking with the Argonauts took a hit on the weekend.
Turns out the rookie running back who is in a fierce battle to back up Cory Boyd with Dwyane Wright and Chad Kackert injured his knee during the second series of Saturday’s mock game but played on the rest of the afternoon. He was unable to practice on Monday.
“Unfortunately for Gerald if his injury takes him out of the pre-season games it will be very difficult for him,” Barker said. “It’s a sprain. He could be back in three days, he could be back in seven days. We just have to see how long it takes.”
