Injury marks end for Middlebrooks

Neck injuries have ended the Argonauts tenures of cornerback Willie Middlebrooks and linebacker Tang Bacheyie.
Middlebrooks was added to the retirement list and Bacheyie, a native of Windsor, was released. Both were injured last season.
"The kind of injury Willie had, any hit could have done damage," Argos head coach/general manager Jim Barker said. "I was not going to put him or me through that."
Bacheyie has been cleared to play, but Barker did not want to see him get hurt again, so decided against bringing him back.
Meanwhile, defensive lineman Claude Wroten, who was terrific at the free-agent camp in Florida in April, has been held up by what Barker said were "some passport traffic-ticket type things that are being taken care of." Barker said he thought Wroten would be in camp by the weekend.
The Argos signed six players on Wednesday, including non-import centre Daniel Bederman and five imports: Defensive back Nick Clement, offensive tackle Edawn Coughman, running back Gerald Riggs and wide receivers Jason Harmon and Sammy Tranks.
Also released were wide receiver Eric McCain and defensive back Matterral Richardson, both imports.
