Argonauts quarterback Cleo Lemon had successful surgery on his right pinky finger on Tuesday morning in Toronto. Lemon, who underwent the hour-long operation at Toronto Western Hospital, suffered a ligament injury to the finger during a game last September.

Lemon is expected to be fully healthy in time for the start of training camp in June.

Andrus finds work

Former Argonauts head coach Bart Andrus has been hired as the offensive co-ordinator of the Omaha Nighthawks of the United Football League. Andrus, in his only season as the Argosí head coach, guided Toronto to a 3-15 record in 2009. He was fired and replaced by Jim Barker, who led the Boatmen to a 9-9 record, and now is considered the favourite to be named the 2010 CFL coach of the year.
