TORONTO - The Argonauts will be without their sack king in Winnipeg and it’s probable that Kevin Huntley will be out longer than just one game.
The 6-foot-7, 294-pound defensive tackle, who has recorded two of his nine sacks against the Blue Bombers this season, will miss the game with a shoulder injury. Huntley didn’t play two weeks ago, and from the sound of it, likely should not have played against Hamilton last week.
“I’m not going to allow him to play injured,” Barker said. “It’s one thing to play hurt, it is another to play injured. He is injured. Hopefully it can get rectified before the playoffs.
“He is such a warrior, and it was hard to tell him.”
Defensive end Ronald Flemons could move to the inside in Huntley’s place, with Ricky Foley starting on the end.
Running back Cory Boyd, the CFL’s leading rusher, didn’t practise again on Thursday as he recovers from a tender left ankle, but Barker said Boyd “definitely” will start against the Bombers.
