TORONTO - Argos defensive tackle Adriano Belli got through another week of practice, but it still might not be enough to get him in the lineup on Saturday against the Roughriders.

Belli is dealing with a commonly misdiagnosed ailment known as a Lisfranc fracture.

It’s a fracture and dislocation of the joints in the midfoot and it’s as temperamental as it is unpredictable.

Argos head coach Jim Barker admits he’s torn heading into Saturday’s game.

“We’re going to decide tomorrow,” Barker said. “He’s not Belli and I just don’t want him to go back to square one. I just have never dealt with this Lisfranc injury before. I thought Liz Frank was an author and I found out that was Anne Frank but I’m learning about it. If I could go back, I would

have put him on the nine-game list back when it happened.

“I don’t want him to go back and if it’s going to put him back –then we’ll hold him out again.”
