MONCTON, N.B. -- The Argonauts didn't bring Adriano Belli to the Maritimes just so he could spread his unique brand of cheer with pecks on the cheek, did they?
The burly defensive tackle, who has missed the past six games with a foot injury, participated in some drills during practice on Wednesday. But head coach Jim Barker was not prepared to pencil Belli into the lineup for Sunday's game against the Edmonton Eskimos.
"It all depends on how he feels the next day," Barker said. "He moved around pretty well, and we will wait and see how the week goes."
Receiver Reggie McNeal is eligible to be activated from the nine-game injured list for his 2010 debut, and though McNeal practised, Barker was not ready to make that call.
Offensive lineman Rob Murphy, recovering from a left heel injury, did not practise. Murphy has missed two games.
"We're not going to rush him back and lose him for the following week," Barker said.
Running back Cory Boyd, meanwhile, has been told by Barker that whatever decision he makes regarding attending the funeral of his college roommate, Kenny McKinley, is fine. Boyd, recovering from a concussion, did not take part in contact drills on Wednesday.
