Cory Boyd will not be in the Argonauts' lineup on Sunday afternoon when they play host to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Boyd suffered a minor concussion, his third as an Argo, during a game this past Saturday in Vancouver against the B.C. Lions.

"We're going to hold him out this week," Argos head coach Jim Barker said. "It's the smart thing to do."

The Argos are hopeful that Boyd, the leading rusher in the Canadian Football League and their centerpiece on offence, will be healthy in time for their game in Moncton versus the Edmonton Eskimos on Sept. 26.

Barring player moves, it's probable that non-import Bryan Crawford would step into Boyd's spot against the Blue Bombers. Fellow Canadian Jeff Johnson might be another option, while import Mike Ford could be activated from the practice roster.

Non-import Andre Durie probably will feature more in the offence with Boyd out.

Three other Argos who are recovering from injury -- offensive lineman Rob Murphy, slotback Jeremaine Copeland and defensive tackle Adriano Belli -- are day to day.
