For an offence that has been much maligned, the Argos arent short when it comes to playmakers and players earning weekly CFL honours.

For the second time in as many weeks, an Argo has copped the leagues offensive player of the week accolade.

This time its Chad Owens, who was named top special teams player following Week 2.

Cory Boyd was selected as the leagues top offensive player last week after a three-touchdown performance in Edmonton.

Owens caught two touchdown passes against the Als, his former team, displaying his ability to make yards after a catch in the open field and emerging as a deep threat.

Chad told me this is the first time since his time in college in Hawaii that hes having this much fun, Argos head coach Jim Barker said.

His intensity and tenacity are contagious.

Rivalry renewed

Friday marks the first taste of the Hamilton rivalry for Cleo Lemon.

During his time in the NFL, Lemon believes the fiercest foe was the New York Jets when he played in Miami, though he does admit any visit to Buffalo as a member of the Fish was greeted with plenty of ill will.

I know its Hamilton week, Lemon said of the Ticats. Ive heard a lot of great things about it (Argo-Ticat feud).

Injury update

Starting CB Willie Middlebrooks (hamstring) did not practise on Tuesday, which meant more first-team reps for Michael Grant ... Jeremaine Copeland (elbow) will have his injured arm in a sling for a couple of weeks before his rehab begins.
