The Argonauts cut their training-camp roster by five players on Saturday.

Gone are running back Amos Allen, who was expected to have challenged seriously for a job but did not appear to be committed, running back Cory Boyd, defensive lineman Mark Evans, defensive back Quinton Meaders and defensive lineman Terrence Reese.

Evans is the lone non-import of the group.

The Argos are expected to re-sign Boyd once he recovers from a head injury in the next week or so.

With the rookie camp completed, veterans arrived for medicals on Saturday. Approximately 68 players will be on the field to begin camp on Sunday morning at the club’s training facility in Mississauga.
