NO STICKY FINGERS
One hallmark of the Argos this season has been the inability of receivers to hang on to the football. The bad habit was in full display in the first half when P.K. Sam, Brad Smith and Jason Carter dropped passes from Kerry Joseph that should have been caught. If Joseph had any hair on his head, we can assume much of it would be grey. Chad Lucas added to Joseph's distress when he dropped a catchable pass in the second half.
The Argos offensive line took a big hit less than two minutes into the game when guard Jeff Keeping (shoulder) and tackle Brian Ramsay (knee) were injured on the same play. Both left the game and didn't return. They were replaced by the inexperienced Mark DeWit and Chris Van Zeyl, respectively, who had difficulty protecting Joseph.
NOT YET, JAMAL
Argos running back Jamal Robertson needed 55 yards to become the sixth different Argo in team history to rush for 1,000 yards in one season, and first since Michael Jenkins did it in 2001. He finished with 45 yards on 12 carries.
