Not the same old Argos

Wally Buono and the B.C. Lions will have to prepare a little differently for the Argonauts this week.

Thats what happens when a player with the talent level of Dominique Dorsey re-joins the Argos after failing to catch on in the NFL.

Im very surprised the NFL did not keep him, Buono, the Lions general manager/head coach, said yesterday from his office in Surrey, B.C.

He is in the same category as Stefan Logan. (Dorsey) is a guy who can take the ball and go the distance, and for a coach, that is always scary.

After piling up 889 yards rushing and 477 yards receiving with B.C. last season, Logan signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers and won a spot on the 53-man roster.

Team game

One reason why Jamal Robertson was able to pile up 117 yards on the ground last week against Hamilton was the blocking of another running back, Jeff Johnson.

All I have to do is make contact and Jamal does the rest, Johnson said. We do this together. It comes down to desire.

Briefly

The Argos probably will sign Jerome Mathis if fellow receiver P.K. Sam (shoulder) cant play this weekend ... The Tiger-Cats signed linebacker Sasha Glavic.
