TORONTO -- The Toronto Argonauts near non-existent return game is getting a face-lift heading into Calgary this weekend.

After poring over tapes of the first two games of the season, head coach Bart Andrus and his staff have come to the conclusion it's not the blocking schemes that need work. It's a change of personnel carrying the ball that's in order.

"We plan to start this game with Arland (Bruce) returning punts, and we're going to add Jarrett Payton on the kickoff returns with Jamal Robertson," Andrus said.

"From what I have seen on tape, we still haven't found the guy that has the right temperament to play in that punt return position, so we're going to try some different people. You may see Matt Black out there, as well."

TALBOT READY FOR DEBUT

SB Andre Talbot was in pads and practising yesterday, and that can only mean good things for the Argonauts offence.

Talbot, out since the second pre-season game of the year when he wrenched his back trying to break a tackle and wound up pulling a muscle in the process, says he's feeling good. Barring any setbacks, he should be in uniform and playing Friday.

OLD-LOOK ARGOS

The Argonauts will unveil their 1960s throwback uniforms Friday in Calgary.

It's the first of three times this season the team will wear the retro duds.
