LAST NIGHT IN HAMILTON

BOOSTING STOCK

In his quest to become the Tiger-Cats' No. 1 quarterback, Quinton Porter converted a 3rd-and-10 situation late in the first half, hitting Drisan James for a 21-yard completion. Soon after, Porter handed off to Terry Caulley for a four-yard touchdown run. Battling with Kevin Glenn to be the starter, Porter was successful on 10 of 18 attempts for 133 yards with one interception. Glenn came on in the second half and went 6-for-13 for 82 yards.

HEAVY HITTER

A crucial part of Jason Shivers' 41-yard interception return in the first quarter came when the Argos' Claude Harriott crushed the Ticats' Dave Stala with a rattling block. Stala, sent flying out of bounds, managed to get up and run across the field under his own steam before returning to the game. Stala took over the Ticats' kicking duties when Nick Setta was hurt in the first half. Setta reportedly was okay.

BRADWELL'S HOT

Argos receiver Mike Bradwell has some stiff competition to earn a spot but had a good final test, catching six passes for 73 yards. Fellow rookie Matt Lambros made one catch for 15 yards.
