The Argos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers will take a step back in time on Sept. 12.
The CFL teams will wear uniforms styled after those worn in the 1950s as the league kicks off CFL Retro Week, which will be part of the schedule for five seasons. The Argos and Bombers again will donate the old-school garb when they meet Oct. 10 in Winnipeg.
Other teams and eras will be showcased in the next four seasons as the CFL gears up for the 100th Grey Cup game, to be played in 2012. Throwback jerseys will go on sale this week.
The Argos are offering a limited number of tickets for the game on Sept. 12 for $19.50, regularly priced at $67, in recognition of the Mud Bowl, which was played in 1950.
The CFL also announced yesterday it has a new five-year deal with Reebok, one of its major partners.
