, Last Updated: 11:21 AM ET

SUN THREE STARS:

1. ARGOS DL ERIC ENGLAND -- Picked off a Henry Burris pass and rumbled 80 yards for the game's first touchdown.

2. ARGOS RETURNER BASHIR LEVINGSTON -- Was a threat to score every time he touched the ball, including the opening kickoff when his TD was called back by a penalty.

3. STAMPS DL SHELDON NAPASTUK -- Played strong inside and helped force a Jeff Johnson fumble which he recovered that gave the Stamps a chance to win.

WHY THE ARGOS WON:

They took advantage of Calgary turnovers and gained momentum off an Eric England interception for a touchdown. The Argos also held off the Stamps comeback and got lucky with a call going their way on an incomplete pass by Ron Johnson.

GREAT CATCH:

Stamps SB Nik Lewis leaped up to grab a bullet from Henry Burris but Argos DB Kenny Wheaton hit him just as the ball arrived and Lewis rode him to the ground. In the second quarter, Stamps S Trey Young jumped in front of teammate J.R. Ruffin and Argos receiver R. Jay Soward to pick off a pass at the back of the endzone.

HUGE HITS:

Stamps QB Henry Burris was trying to run the option play but Argos DB Kenny Wheaton drilled the quarterback, knocking him to the turf. Punter Burke Dales smacked Argos returner Bashir Levingston in the facemask with his hand, drawing a penalty.

KEY STAT:

80 -- The number of yards Argos DL Eric England rumbled for a interception return touchdown in the third quarter, breaking open a tie game.

NOTABLES:

Stamps WR Ron Johnson made his first CFL reception in the third quarter, getting a 15-yard swing pass from Henry Burris. Johnson also had a drop in the fourth quarter but made a 51-yard reception as well ... The attendance of 32,410 was the largest at Rogers Centre this season but more than 200 were friends and family of Stampeders players ... The Stamps scratches off the 46-man roster were DL Miguel Robede, DB Tony Tiller, OL Riley Clayton and LB John Grace.
