Calgary whipped the Argos 39-18 last Saturday at McMahon Stadium to break a two-game losing streak against Toronto. Calgary's record at the Rogers Centre isn't great and it hasn't won there since 2000. Calgary is 3-7 in the last 10 against Toronto overall but the Stamps lead the all-time series (since 1961) 35-34-1.
122 -- The margin of difference in return yardage during last week's Stamps victory over the Argos. With Markus Howell on punts and J.R. Ruffin on kickoffs and a missed field goal, the Stamps outgained the Argos 238-116.
Argos SB Arland Bruce vs. Stamps DB J.R. Ruffin -- Although the Argos receiver picked up two touchdowns last week, he was effectively shut down previous to the late scores, which will be difficult for the Stamps secondary to do two weeks in a row.
3 KEYS TO VICTORY:
1FORGET RICKY -- The Argos focused on using running back Ricky Williams early a week ago but then found themselves in a hole. The Stamps expect Toronto to spread to ball around now the team has most of its offensive weapons in for a second straight game.
2RETURN OF THE EXCITEMENT -- The Stamps returners won the battle last week but the Argos have the deepest group in the league with Bashir Levingtson, Keith Stokes and Arland Bruce. The Stamps expect to see Bruce at some point, although he plays every down on offence and the others don't.
3SECOND AND BOMB -- The Argos managed decent yardage on first down a week ago in Calgary but then stumbled to convert because of great Stamps coverage downfield.
CALGARY -- The flu bug forces one change as LB John Grace will sit because of the illness. LB Khalid Abdullah will start on the outside, while Cornelius Anthony moves inside to take Grace's spot. The other scratches are DL Miguel Robede, DB Tony Tiller and OL Riley Clayton.
TORONTO -- LB David Hewson gets activated from the development roster in place of non-import WR David Azzi.
