THREE CHEERS FOR RANEK: After banging up a shoulder at the conclusion of an exciting 71-yard run, Josh Ranek was the recipient of a standing ovation from fans behind the Ottawa bench. Ranek finished with a bang, rushing 17 times for 154 yards.

BOTTOMED OUT: The 16,504 at Frank Clair Stadium was the second-smallest crowd of the season in the CFL, barely eclipsing the 16,303 the Renegades drew for a July 16 Calgary visit. They finish the season as the only team to draw less than 20,000 fans, and they did it seven times.

QUOTABLE: "If you have to go, that's the way to go. At the top." -- Joe Paopao, looking out at the scoreboard before addressing the media.

QUOTABLE II: "Football in Ottawa, it took a long time for it to come back here. We've got to keep it going. I'm going to pray that they do." -- Paopao.
