The Argos Stop the Violence message has scored a touchdown with Etobicoke teen Javone Rowe.

"I believe in what they are doing," Rowe said yesterday as team players held a fundraising barbecue as part of their anti-violence campaign.

"There have been too many bad things happening this summer and it has to stop," he said. "I've seen fights in the schoolyard and sometimes break things up."

Argos' Mike O'Shea and Adrion Smith signed hats, T-shirts, footballs and wristbands for young fans yesterday at K&P Meats on Lakeshore Ave. in Etobicoke.
