Troubled Toronto Argonauts running back Hakim Hill is facing more charges after yet another brush with the law early yesterday.

Hill, 22, who was suspended by the Argos and forced to leave the country last month, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Thursday at about 1 a.m., in Chandler, Ariz.

Police told the Arizona Republic that Hill crashed an SUV into a wall and then fled into a nearby neighbourhood. He was arrested after he was found hiding in a man-made lake.

Hill and a 21-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries. Hill was booked into jail on counts of aggravated DUI, hit-and-run and driving on a suspended licence. Results of a blood-alcohol test have not been finalized.

The Argos told Hill to leave the country in late August, following a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol in Scottsdale, Ariz., on July 18.

Hill, who signed with the Argos this year, was booted out of Northern Iowa University in February after a fight with police officers and was kicked out of Arizona State University for breaking team rules.
