The defending Grey Cup champion Saskatchewan Roughriders are rewarding general manager Brendan Taman with a two-year contract extension.
The Riders also added the vice-president of football operations title to his GM duties.
"Brendan has proven to be a key contributor to the recent accomplishments of our football club," Roughriders President and CEO Jim Hopson said in a statement. "This extension, along with Corey Chamblin's current extension, creates stability and continuity within the Riders Football Operations which is a key ingredient to long term success."
The Saskatoon native will be entering his fifth year as GM of the Roughriders.
The Roughriders won their fourth Grey Cup title last November at home, defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 45-23 in front of 44,710 spectators.
It was Taman's first Grey Cup championship.
