Brendan Taman brought Geroy Simon into the CFL in 1999 as a Winnipeg Blue Bomber, and now they’re back together in the twilight of Superman’s hall of fame career.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders general manager acquired the CFL’s career receiving yards leader from the B.C. Lions on Thursday in exchange for import receiver Justin Harper and a third-round draft pick.
“I never thought he would end up in Saskatchewan, quite frankly, but somewhere along the line I thought our paths would cross,” Taman said. “I just didn’t think it would be this year in Saskatchewan.”
