So who is going to be shirts and who is going to be skins?
When Shannon Kleibrink meets Amber Holland Monday night, it's a fair question.
Of all the colours in a box of crayons, both teams have ended up being given the same unsightly pea soup- green uniforms.
"Well, we're not being the skins," said Holland.
"Actually, we've been told they're going to give us black tops to wear when we play them," said Kleibrink.
Holland describes the uniform color as "Shrek green."
Kleibrink says they're OK with the colour.
"It matches our eyes," she laughed.
"Well, my eyes," said green-eyed third Amy Nixon.
"Is it my favorite colour? Probably not," added Nixon.
"We're just trying to convince ourselves that it's Sasatchewan Roughriders green," said Nixon.
"Most of us have our roots in Saskatchewan."
The ridiculous thing here is that the same eyesore colours are being worn by two teams the men's event as well.
While there are teams in red, white, black, blue, etc., the same two ghastly green outfits are being worn by both the Kevin Koe and Jason Gunnlaugson outfits.
Interesting to note that Jon Mead, who works for Mondetta, the firm that makes them, isn't wearing the outfits on the Wayne Middaugh team.
"This should never have happened, but it has," said CCA event boss Warren Hansen who explained that the manufacturer had seven available colours and it would have cost a significant sum to have another one produced.
Kevin Martin, who will wear black, says he has a golf shirt the same colour as the uniforms in question and thinks the teams involved should be happy.
"We had to wear a kind of pink, salmon-coloured uniform in 1997," he said.
Gunnlaugson said he doesn't mind because he had the colour at the Road to the Roar in Prince George and punched his ticket here wearing the outfit.
"What are you going to do?" he said. "It has good memories to me."
"We would have picked a different colour, definitely" said Koe. "We're really surprised there's somebody else with the same colour."
Koe will wear black in tomorrow afternoon's game against Gunnlaugson.
"It's OK," said the Edmonton skip. "The colour of our uniforms isn't the biggest thing to worry about this week."
