Eric Tillman, the Saskatchewan Roughriders general manager, has been charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl, according to a report.

The Regina Leader-Post says Tillman has been charged in an incident alleged to have happened in Regina on Aug. 6, according to a Regina Police Service spokesperson.

He has a court date scheduled for Feb. 24 at Regina Provincial Court.

An investigation last August led to Tillman being charged last week, said the report. No further details of the allegation are being released.

During the 2006 CFL season, Tillman was hired as the Roughriders GM, taking over from Roy Shivers.

Tillman, a native of Jackson, Miss., has also served as a broadcast analyst and scout in the CFL.
