OTTAWA -- After kicking six field goals, including the winner, in front of a packed house at TD Place on opening night a few weeks ago, RedBlacks coach Rick Campbell praised kicker Brett Maher's even-keeled attitude.

He doesn't get too high on himself after a good game and he doesn't kick himself for long after clunker, Campbell said.

After going 0-4 on field goals Saturday, including one that was run back 111 yards for the score, Campbell said he expects his kicker to rebound quickly.

"He's kicked well in practice again this week," Campbell said Wednesday. "He had a game that I'm sure he didn't want to have, but that's part of the deal."

He won't be judged based on one bad game, the coach said.

"I'm going to go on his body of work over time, which has been very good for us since he's been here," Campbell said. "I would expect him to get back to that."
