Maybe what the RedBlacks need to develop is killer instinct.

The RedBlacks went back to work Tuesday with a date against the Saskatchewan Roughriders Saturday night at Lansdowne Park looming large.

With only one victory in their inaugural five games, the RedBlacks didn't expect to come out of training camp firing on all cylinders, but they expected more of themselves.

While they've been in a position to have more than one victory as they prepare for the Green Riders, the RedBlacks haven't been able to make the right plays at key points to get the wins.

Perhaps, Ottawa just needs a little bit of an attitude adjustment to its approach.

"When I look at the big picture I just think we need to learn how to finish," said Desjardins Tuesday. "The games are there. We just need to learn how to make that big play when we need to.
