Cornerback Jovon Johnson wears No. 2 for the RedBlacks, but he's all about the firsts.

The CFL's first defensive back to win the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award while a Blue Bomber in 2011, Johnson was the first player out the tunnel and onto the field for the RedBlacks first-ever game. He'd also like to lead the charge in the home opener Friday night at TD Place.

"I like to be the first one out," said Johnson. "It's just something that I've always done. In high school, I played quarterback, so I always led my team out the tunnel. That's just how it went, and it has stuck with me for awhile.
