OTTAWA - One of the more eye-catching numbers on a detailed RedBlacks roster is 14 -- the size of cleats worn by both the starting quarterback and his backup.
Another is 39, the age Henry Burris turned Wednesday.
Thomas DeMarco, Burris' generously listed 5-foot-11, 200 pound apprentice, would like nothing more than to follow in the footsteps of the mentor.
"If I can be in his position when it's all said and done, that would be awesome," DeMarco, 25, said of Burris. "This game is a privilege to play ... and he's doing exactly what he wanted to do.
"I hope that I can be in his shoes when I grow up."
The list of CFL quarterbacks who played into their 40s includes Anthony Calvillo, Damon Allen, Danny McManus and Ron Lancaster. Burris plans on joining it.
